—International Fascia Congress
This workshop is designed to give you a foundational, working knowledge of the largest functional organ in the body: the fascia. Fascia is situated beneath the skin and runs in multi-directional patterns throughout the body, playing a major role in musculoskeletal function, balance, sensory integration, metabolism, detoxification, and nervous system regulation.
Pilates application for this workshop will include
Introduction to Fascial Meridians/lines of functional movement.
Fascia Stretches and 3D fascia expansion, opening nerve channels.
Fascia Release and integration in a session.
Fascia considerations for balance and proprioception.
Rebounding technique for elasticity in the fascia.
In honor of Joseph Pilates, this workshop addresses the importance of thinking of the body as an integrated whole, including the workings of the fascial web.
